Interesting story. If you already have a book published – maybe a while ago – but the publisher isn’t shifting copies any more, get the rights back and republish it yourself.
Get in touch if you want to know how we did this, but we’ll write this up another time.
Today I’m just wrapping up the reprint and modernization of Teaching and Learning at Business School, by Pär Martensson, Magnus Bild and Kristina Nilsson. It’s a fantastic handbook for professors and faculty at business schools around the world.
But it was out of print for sooooo long. (That’s not strictly true – you could get a monograph edition for about $100, but price skimming doesn’t make any sense when you just want to get the copies into the hands of the readers who need and want your book.)
Anyhow, we negotiated with the old publisher and got the rights back for the authors. And now a new generation of teachers and professors will have access to this wonderful missing manual. (DM if you want to know when it’s released and I’ll add you to the launch list. Probably January 2025.)
